Ammara Brown Comes Under Fire For Snubbing Fan Due To Molestation Fears

Songbird Ammara Brown has come under fire on social media for her perceived rudeness and haughty attitude.

This comes after the talented musician replied to a fan who claimed that Ammara had hurt her by snubbing her plea for a selfie. The social media user who goes by the name Mukunda further alleged that a few minutes after snubbing her, Ammara was only too happy to take selfies with slay queens.

Writing on social media platform Twitter on a thread about meeting celebrities, Mukunda claimed that she still holds a grudge because Ammara had ‘treated me like shit’. Mukunda narrated her experiences with the local celebrities she had met saying,

@jahprayzah 2 occasions and both allowed me to get selfies. @TukuOfficial very nice asked me what I was going to name my very big belly baby and allowed me to selfie. @ChimbetuSuluman gosh his smile is cute, selfie too. @AmmaraBrown treated me like shit, I still hold a grudge.

When quizzed about why she had negative feelings about Ammara Brown, Mukunda added,

Oh, that one. Met her at Zim Grounds on that remove Mugabe march. Said “Hi Ammara, good to see you here. May I have a selfie please” and she simply waved me away. Didn’t even say Hi back just an “ibva pano hamba” wave, next moment she was taking pics with slay queens. It hurt.

This did not seem to go down well with the songbird who responded in an unapologetic manner saying that she had denied the vast majority of selfies on that particular day due to security fears.

I denied 95% of selfies that day as there were thousands of people, and I had no security Hugging face

I’m not sorry.

Ammara’s response, however, seemed to pour gasoline onto a tiny spark turning it into a huge conflagration. When one fan cautioned Ammara to be circumspect by ignoring such posts, the songstress did not back down and instead doubled down saying that she cannot compromise her security because she has been molested in the past. Said Ammara,

Sometimes people need to be reminded that:

I am a human being.

I have been molested in public before while WITH security.

10 men can’t hold 1000.

Some days it is impossible to meet the fan halfway. Persevering face saying yes to 1 means 10,50,100 behind them.

Must my safety be compromised?

This resulted in many social media users calling out Ammara Brown for her perceived condescending and arrogant attitude towards her fans. Below are some of the reactions on social media.
