The police have arrested a cunning suspect, who was in the habit of luring women for se_x, before robbing them along Seke road.
The suspect, Rasdean Shahadat, believed to be of Iraqi origin, who is popularly known as Nyengishto, had an unexpected date with justice when his latest victim cried for help after he took her at rocky place near Coca Cola company.
A passerby heard the distressed cry for help and caught Rasdean Shahadat before delivering him to the police.
A handbag and a cellphone was recovered on his person.
According to a vendor, along Seke road who spoke to Hmetro, Rasdean Shahadat is in the habit of luring women, promising them se_xual favors before pouncing on them.
“Several women have been lured by this man who took them to a secluded place at that hill where he would have se_x with them and rob them,”
The vendor said they call Rasdean Shahadat by the name of Nyengishto, because most of his victims engage in se_x with him before he robs them.
Harare province police spokesperson, Inspector Tarisai Dube could not be reached for comment at the time of going to print.
Meanwhile according to reports, Rasdean Shahadat is expected to appear in court today.
Elsewhere, the police arrested 3 men for violating the national lockdown regulations at a roadblock along the Patchway – Nembudziya road.
The trio were travelling in a Toyota Hiace in the wee hours of the morning and they were found with 5 bags of gold loaded carbon.
The driver attempted to overrun the roadblock but was later arrested and they were fined for traffic related violations and making unnecessary movements during the lockdown.
