The state represented by Prosecutor Michael Reza has opposed the bail application by Advocate Thabani Mpofu through his legal team led by Beatrice Mtetwa.
Mpofu is facing 4 counts including fraud, forgery, and perjury
The state alleges that Mpofu is a flight risk and the police tried in vain to arrest him for two days before he handed himself to the police.
He is also branded as a powerful and influential person who is likely to use his authority to interfere with witnesses.
