Prophet Forgiveness Nyakuweka, who is popularly known as Prophet Shamma, has come under fire from fellow church leaders after he claimed that some of the deceased men of the cloth are currently burning in hell.
Prophet Shammah did not go into specifics but he claimed that he has spoken in spirit to deceased local and international preachers who include Evangelist Phanuel Chiweshe, Reverend Benard Mzeki, Reinhard Bonnke, Billy Graham, Ruth Nix and Rev Chitauro.
Prophet Shammah did not end there, however. He went on to claimed that he can prophesy anyone’s date of death as he has been given grace and anointing to predict people’s deaths. The man of the cloth cited the case of Gogo Murape of Domboshava as an example of his prophetic power. He claimed that she died 4 days after he informed her of her impending death.
iHarare has learned that Prophet Shammah’s words did not go down well with his fellow church leaders who dismissed his claims and labelled him a false prophet.
Apostle Murata of New Life Pentecostal Church challenged Prophet Shammah to prophecy his own date of death and tell the world about it. Speaking to local tabloid H-Metro, Apostle Maruta said,
“… whatever Prophet Shammah is telling his followers by misquoting scriptures to suit what he wants them to believe, let it be known that he is being used by evil spirits.
“The Bible clearly tells us that false prophets would come to mislead even the elect and I want to believe he is one of them no matter what miracles he might perform to lure people.
“If he has powers to predict people’s date of death can he tell us when his date of death is”
Evangelist Trymore Muparinga added,
“If Prophets are after sharing messages of hell that means people following him are in danger since prophetic gospel is aligned to the word of God.”
Apostle Stephen Mangwanya of New United Apostolic Faith Church added,
“Prophet Shammah’s visions are not aligned to the word of God and what he must know is that every sin is done in secrecy.
“God is the one in a position to judge people and not anyone who claims to have received such grace or anointing as what he wants people to believe.”
Bishop Albert Chikuni of Family Life Ministries International slammed Prophet Shammah as an attention seeker
“In Luke 16 Jesus Christ gave us an account of life beyond the grave of Lazarus and the rich man. If you check from verse 28 the rich man pleaded to go back to the earth to warn his brothers and this knowledge was exclusive of the departed and Jesus who narrated it,
“Remember most so-called prophets are just publicity hunters, they say controversial things to lure people to them, and it’s a deceiving business.”
