Two families that are still waiting to bury their loved ones a year after their remains were exhumed at the home of an alleged serial killer in Masoyi Mpumalanga. Police say DNA tests are still being conducted in the Netherlands.
The DNA tests had to be done on the Netherlands because forensic experts in South Africa failed to get results, they needed a more complex test.
The bodies of the two are part of the five bodies that were exhumed after a serial killer, 25 year old Julius Mndawe buried them after killing them.
Community members say they used to buy vegetables that he used to grow on his yard, not knowing that beneath the soil there were bodies of women that were buried.
Mndawe has made a number of court appearances, facing charges of murder.
