The brother of murdered MDC Alliance councillor and district coordinating chair Lavender Chiwaya of ward 4 Hurungwe Central Karoi, Mashonaland West has spoken about the death of his brother.
Tonderai Chiwaya took to Twitter to air his frustration and accuses the ruling party Zanu PF for the death of his brother.
“This is my blood brother, murdered by the ruthless and heartless regime. Justice shall prevail. Zanu Pf is a cult.. R.I.P Mkoma wangu. God is watching,” Tonderai Chiwaya said.
“This ruthless act by the evil bloodthirsty devils shall come to an end. The people’s will shall govern. Zanu Pf shall never escape God’s wrath. . Every hand that participated in the brutal murdering of my blood shall never rest. Gone too soon Mkoma,” he added
The murder of the councillor has been condemned by the international community with UK and the EU calling for an investigation into the murder.
Chiwaya’s body was found naked and dumped four houses away from his home in Karoi. The MDC Alliance suspects that Chiwaya was abducted by State security agents and murdered before his body was dumped.
