DRAMA As Chipinge Woman Is Buried At Night After Her Relatives Are Chased Away From The Funeral

A mystery has rocked Hanganyi Village in Chipinge after the late Talent Sigauke (21 ) who hails from there,was buried at night, after her mother and relatives were chased away from the funeral.


In the African culture, it is taboo to bury a person at night

According to villagers, who spoke to Chipinge Times, Sigauke is said to have died after one of her many fights with her husband Moses Mtisi.

Officer commanding Chipinge District Kennedy Nyaumwe said the Police has not yet received a report on the matter.

According to Sigauke’s mother, Susan Antonio, her daughter died in South Africa in June.

Her husband is suspected of to have assaulted her and killed her as they frequently had squabbles.

Village councilor Phineas Muzamana, confirmed the deceased was buried at night and asked the traditional leaders and police to look into the matter.

“It is true that the deceased was buried at night but this is taboo in our African culture. This is a case that must be looked into by the Police and traditional leaders,”

She said they were chased from the funeral after they tried to get to the bottom of the matter leading to her daughter’s death

Antonio said they were chased away by their log and machete wielding in laws

“I could not pay last respects as Talent was buried the night we were chased away,”

She went on to say they didn’t even obtain a burial order but just did it jungle style.
