A Murehwa herdboy was arrested by the police, in the connection with the cold blooded murder of seven year old Tapiwa Makore.

‌
The manner of the killing suggested that it was a ritual murder. Tafadzwa Shamba (40), is suspected to have conspired with other suspects to abduct the boy, who was looking after the family garden on the 17th of September.

The other suspects are still at large.

The suspects, including the cow herder are said to have abducted the boy and took him to a mountain, where they held him hostage for a while, before killing him

They hacked off his head, arms and legs at night.

According to reports, one of the suspects who hails from Juru Growth Point, is said to have taken off with the head, leaving the herdboy to guard the other body parts

The police say, the suspect had been promised a payment of US$1 500, when the Juru suspect had returned to pick up more body parts.

Tapiwa disappeared on Thursday last week when his parents sent him to look after the family garden, with his lunchbox of food and a water bottle.

‌
Later when they arrived to water the garden, the boy was absent, but his lunchbox and bottle were in the garden area.

They conducted a search party which proved in vain. The next day his body was discovered when the neighbour’s dogs were found feasting on human flesh, which turned out to be Tapiwa’s body.

The head discovered on the scene was said not to match with Tapiwa’s, meaning the suspects could have committed another murder back then>chaosafrica
