Levels And DJ Tamuka Settle Beef With Online Clash
DJ Tamuka and Levels settled their beef with a disc jockey battle hosted on social media by 1202 Herbal Solution.
DJ Tamuka real name Tamuka Mponda-Makuluni was involved in a war of words with Levels born Rodger Tafadzwa Kadzimwe on social media. The two were arguing who is the best producer between themselves. The battle was finally settled by 1202 Herbal Solution with an online battle that saw the two belting out hits which they produced.
Despite the online battle being marred by poor sound quality, fans requested that the battle should be held in front of a live audience. The event was hosted by radio presenter Miss Vee Candy real name Nonhlanhla Thuthani.
Levels dished out tracks from the Zimdancehall genre, which he is known for. He played songs like “Paita Party” by Winky D, Ras Caleb (Tokwe Mukosi), Bazooker, (Handikukwata) and Enzo Ishall (Mama). DJ Tamuka played songs across genres. He played Simba Tagz and Ex Q’s tune “Zvakanaka”, Nutty O’s “Safe”, Mambo Dhuterere (Mweya Ndisesekedze), and Jah Prayzah featuring Yemi Alade’s “Nziyo yerudo”.
Speaking to The Herald after the event, DJ Tamuka said the competition was nice and appreciated that it did not end in violence as most clashes do. He said:
It was good and what I liked from my side is that there was maturity and there was no violence. It was a great competition and I am still to get a clear understanding from the organisers of the show on what actually happened at the end of the show.
Levels declared himself the winner and said he still wanted the battle to continue. He said
I want more time with DJ Tamuka to prove my worth. I am not only representing Mbare, but Zimbabwe at large. I can say that I have won the battle and I have more in store for him, he can come anytime.
1202 Herbal Solution did not reveal who won the battle between DJ Tamuka and Levels.
