Meet Allanah The Lady Featured On Fadza Mutengi By Poptain

Allanah is the lady behind the “Reeeh”, “Ahaha” adlibs on Fadza Mutengi, the hit single by Poptain.


She also has a verse on the song and does adlibs and backing vocals on the song.

Speaking on how Fadza Mutengi came about Allanah said

So, we were paid to do a song for someone and Poptain and I met at Cymplex Studios in Waterfalls while working on separate projects. We then listened to the beat of ‘Fadza Mutengi’, then we decided to do that song.

1. Background

Allanah and her Mom

Allanah was born and bred in Chitungwiza. Her real name is Tiny Machivenyika. She comes from a family of three girls and one boy. She says she came up with the stage name Allanah by combining two names from her favorite Jamaican artists Fianah and Alaine.

She was raised by her mother following the death of her father.

2. Education

Allanah did her kindergarten at Rutendo pre-school. She attended Moffat Primary School and did Ordinary Level at Morgan High School. Allanah passed four subjects but says did not want to rewrite because her love was music.


3. Career

The songstress recorded her first song “Give Glory” in 2014. The song although did not receive much attention.

She says her breakthrough came in 2018 when she met Llyod Jiro, popularly known as ‘Papa Lodza’. She was signed by Raw Music and started recording cover songs before she did her own songs, ‘Mude Mude’ and ‘Mboko Last’. Allanah also did a popular rendition of Obert Chari’s song ‘Mebo’.

She has worked with artists like Lesco, Solution, Everlast, Poptain, and Soul Jnr among others.

4. Boyfriend

Allanah says she is in a serious relationship but did not disclose the name of her boyfriend. When asked by The Herald she said:

I spend my time with friends, family and my boyfriend

5. Religion

Allanah is a Christian and is the current worship leader at Labour of Love Church.
