Ginimbi mansion’s wall was hit by an unidentified motorist who happened to be one of the mourners. Before he fled the scene, the motorist had hit another parked car that belonged to one of the mourners.
According to H Metro, the motorist who smashed the wall was trying to avoid the security guards who were manning the mansion.
However, an eye witness gave an account of what transpired as he further indicated that the funeral was well attended and everyone wanted to have a glimpse of their hero before he was laid to rest. He also added that he was not sure why the driver decided to disappear considering the damage he had caused
” It is sad that the motorist destroyed the mansion precast security wall together with another parked vehicle belonging to one of the mourners and sped off,
“I am not sure if that motorist deliberately targeted the walls but from the look of things he was reversing at a fast speed to avoid security guards after he hit one of the parked vehicles.“A number of people who failed to find their way into the mansion because of the limited number returned to their homes refusing to follow proceedings from the tents.
“I am still wondering why the motorist decided to disappear from the scene following that mishap considering the damage he had caused,” he said.
Mourners attempted to use the smashed area as a gate pass to the mansion before a security guard with a dog was deployed. Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure died in a frightful car accident when his vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit before hitting a tree & bursting into a fireball. Killing his three friends on the spot. According to an autopsy, the socialite & businessman died from internal injury.-H Metro
