Hours after a warrant of arrest was issued against Vice-President Constantine Chiwenga’s ex-wife, Marry Mubaiwa, who failed to attend court this morning, an ambulance believed to be carrying her was seen arriving at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
It has been more than 30 minutes since she arrived, Mary Mubaiwa has not exited the ambulance.
Her lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa earlier told a court she was in bed at home, gravely ill. She was forced to come to court after an arrest warrant was issued
“The accused has not fully done her treatment and she is walking around with a catheter draining stuff in her hand,” said Mtetwa back in September.
Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa subsequently postponed the trial to 30 November.
