A total of 7 people, among them 4 ZPCS Officers lost their lives today along the Nyanga Mutasa Highway when the prison truck they were traveling in was involved in a head-on collision with a fuel truck this afternoon.
According to a source that spoke to Pindula News, the Prison truck was going to Nyanga from Mutasa and they had picked up 2 female passengers at Mutasa bus stop when the accident occurred. 2 of the passengers in the truck were seriously injured and they were rushed to Mutasa Hospital.
According to our source, the fuel truck was in the middle of the road and the driver of the prison truck was speeding and failed to apply breaks before the fatal accident. The names of the victims are yet to be established.
Meanwhile, in another incident that occurred in Mt Darwin, 2 racing cars mowed down 7 people who were going for their prayers to death.
