HARARE – More sordid details have emerged concerning Former Dynamos Football Club defender Itai Stanley Chirambadare’s alleged s_xual assault of a 13-year-old boy he was coaching at his academy in Mufakose when he appeared in court.
Chirambadare, 56, who was remanded in custody to May 13 for trial is said to have threatened the boy with death should he decide to disclose the abuse.
Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi decided to remand him considering the gravity of his charges and advised him to approach the High Court for appeal.
Sometime in March 2021, the court heard, the complainant together with a friend would visit Chirambadare’s house to help out with some chores in exchange for sweets.
Some day, the boy went alone and Chirambadare abused him in his bedroom and threatened to kill him if he told anyone, the court heard.
The abuse went on for a while until the boy developed some piles (lumps inside and around your bottom) prompting him to disclose to his uncle who went on and helped him make a police report.
