THREE unidentified men grabbed a 12-year-old girl who was standing in front of her gate, bundled her into their Honda Fit and sped off saying they wanted to cut off her private parts.
The incident took place over the weekend in Nkulumane suburb, and the girl later on managed to escape back home following a lapse in concentration by her kidnappers.
Police have confirmed the incident, but no arrests have been made yet.
“They told her that they wanted her private parts and she would never live on this earth anymore. They warned her not to scream,” Bulawayo tabloid B-Metro reports.
The girl got a chance when the abductors stopped in a bushy area near Nkulumane suburb and got out of the car, leaving her alone.
“They went a few metres into the thicket and returned carrying sacks that contained unknown things and loaded them into the boot of the car,” said the publication.
Upon reaching her home she narrated the near-death incident to her parents who then accompanied her to Nkulumane police station and reported the case.
Cases of abductions and murder have been on the rise across the country. Last year in September, a young boy in Murehwa, Tapiwa Makore, was murdered and body parts taken for rituals by his uncles.
