Poor service delivery in South Africa leads to fatal car accidents on the roads. Greedy leaders fail to provide and take care of the infrastructure. People die due to the incompetence and greediness amongst leaders. There are certain roads that are not worthy to be used by drivers. People always try to find solutions, but the government is not meeting them halfway. Since the mayor has succumbed due to a fatal accident, people are exposing how badly some roads are in this country that perpetuate to kill people. Enough has happened, and it is time for action. Since the roads of Johannesburg has taken an important life, there is a necessity to act and show remorse to what has happened.
During the voter registration weekend on Saturday, Matongo, Ramaphosa accompanied Gauteng Prime Minister David Makhura and other Johannesburg city leaders to vote in the Soweto election. Dada Morero, the regional secretary of the JHB of the African National Congress, confirmed that Matongo was killed in a car accident and his bodyguard was in the hospital.

“We can confirm that Matongo was killed in a terrible accident. A Nissan Bakkie tried to avoid pedestrians and then drove into the mayor’s car and had an accident,” Morero said. “After the election campaign, he was on his way to his parents’ home in KwaZulu Natal Province.
