Greatman’s Wedding Saga Takes New Twist As TEO Events Exposes Mai Titi
Greatman Gwaze and Silibaziso Masara’s wedding planner, Matthew Membere of Teo events has denied all allegations that he embezzled funds and fled with gifts and money given as presents at the wedding.
Matthew Membere , who was responsible for sourcing funds for the wedding and putting all logistics in place outed Zimbabwean celebrities for publicising phantom gifts at the couple’s wedding.
Speaking during an interview with Rutendo Loveness Samas, TEO Events said the only cash gift that he has received so far is the cash gift of US$200 that was paid by Mudiwa Hood.
He revealed that Mai Titi had pledged US$1000 cash to Greatman and his wife but the money was never received.
Matthew also said the couple’s parents who promised to give US$600 did not pay up.
Greatman made headlines over the weekend when he announced that he was in debt. He revealed that he was baffled when he found himself in debt when his wedding ceremony was ‘well-funded’.
“What is surprising though is that there are service providers that are yet to be paid. I am said to be in arrears of more than US$2 500. However, I know cash donations that came through on the day and before could have easily settled the debts,” he said.
Greatman accused TEO Events of monopolizing everything and keeping them in the dark.
“They monopolised everything! TEO directed all cash donations to their bank accounts and mobile number(s) for mobile money transfers. Goods were received on our behalf. We got nothing.
