Socialite Campion Jani who is popularly known as Mwendaz weDrip has taken social media by storm.
As quoted by Nehanda Radio, the man behind the Mwendamberi brand, Tafadzwa Rusike Gondo from Zimcelebs revealed that the idea behind creating the Mwendaz brand was to create something new, something that would refresh the entertainment industry.
“We just wanted to create something new.. . Something fresh for the industry and because of his age, Mwendaz was our best candidate… He was so perfect for the idea all we had to do was to add the drip to him,” said Tafadzwa.

Mwendaz was born on November 28, 1938. He stays in Mufakose with his wife and grandchildren.
Pindula reports that Mwendaz married Eneresi after the death of his first wife Nokuthula.
As of July 2021, The Herald reports that Mwendaz weDrip had 21 grandchildren. He is a father of seven boys — four died and as of July 2021 three were alive.
Mwendaz did his primary education up to Standard 6 at Tsungayi in Highfield. He had started his primary education at Mbizi, but they were all transferred to Tsungayi at the height of the liberation struggle.
He then enrolled at Musami High School in Mashonaland East but dropped out of school in 1956 after failing to raise school fees.
Mwendamberi worked as a casual worker at a clothing firm where he was responsible for packing clothes before he became a bus driver at Matambanadzo Bus Services.
The publication further reports that Mwendaz weDrip later became a qualified bus driver in 1962 when he got his driver’s licence. He worked as a bus driver for so many companies including Matambanadzo Bus Company where he became popular.
