CONTROVERSIAL songbird, Brenda “Lady B” Bechani, tied the knot at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts with her long-time sweetheart, Ronald Gwindi.
Lady B is one of the seasoned Zim dancehall chanters while Gwindi pioneered skit comedy using the moniker, “Bhuru Remashanga”.
Known for singing explicit lyrics in her formative years before toning down, after converting to gospel, Lady B says she dated Bhuru Remashanga for over a decade.
“I am happy to have tied the knot with Bhuru Remashanga, who is now my legal husband.
“We’ve been together for 12 years and we met in high school so we have decided to formalise it,” she said.
Added Lady B: “He is now much into writing and directing many skits and videos behind the scenes for big names on social media and is very active in health awareness groups in Chitungwiza
“You can see him in films on Zambezi Magic, mostly films from Light Image Production, In-House Media Production and many other production companies.”
The Murume singer said they will hold a lavish wedding ceremony once funds permit.
“We couldn’t hold a big party like what others have been doing in recent weeks because we are not yet there.
“We are happy to have formalised our union, but we are yet to have kids.
“I would love to give him four kids, preferably a set of twins to make him happy.
“He has been there for me and we are happy as a down-to-earth celebrity couple,” she said.
