Mutare based socialite Obert Karombe who died in a horrific car accident over the weekend was in the company of a woman.
Reports reaching iHarare indicate that the woman who has been referred to as a ‘slay queen’ survived the accident and is currently hospitalised.
The woman, @mamagirl_aley went live while on her hospital bed explaining the incident.
According to the woman, they were in Beatrice on their way back to Harare for her to catch a flight so that she can prepare for her upcoming birthday.
According to unconfirmed reports on social media, the late Karombe was not in the wrong but an army truck lost control and swerved into his lane causing the crash..
The late Obert Karombe was a wealthy businessman based in Mutare and was regarded a ‘mbinga.’
He had recently married model Kumbirai Bosha but some reports suggest that he was still with his first wife.

Moana died in November 2020 together with socialite Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure and two other friends.
They were on their way from celebrating Moana’s birthday at Dreams Nightclub.
According to eyewitnesses, Ginimbi who was driving the car was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit that saw him being thrown out of the vehicle before it hit a tree and burst into flames.
His three friends who were left stuck in the car were burnt beyond recognition
