Real Madrid beat Liverpool, 1-0, in the Champions League final to win the European title for a record-extending 14th time.
The Spanish power claimed the top prize of European club soccer for the fifth time in nine years, while its manager, Carlo Ancelotti, became the first man to coach four Champions League-winning teams.
After a scoreless first half, Brazilian winger Vinícius Júnior put Real Madrid ahead in the 59th minute.
The final, held at Stade de France near Paris, was delayed more than 30 minutes following crowd control issues outside the stadium.
