Property worth thousands of dollars was lost when a veld fire destroyed nine buildings at Eland Lodge formerly known as Elephant Lodge along the Gweru-Mvuma road on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire brigade teams from Gweru City Council and Airforce of Zimbabwe Josiah Tungamirai Airforce base managed to contain the fire and save four buildings.
The fire is said to have starte from a nearby community
