Mzansi singer and reality TV star Kelly Khumalo is out to clear her name amidst the media scrutiny and publicity smack down. With Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial in progress and her name being implicated, one thing about Kelly Khumalo is she will continue to carry on with her life like nothing has happened.
Social media is angered on how Kelly Khumalo is moving lately. Especially with the heated testimonies given to court by one of Senzo Meyiwa‘s friend Tumelo Madlala. Kelly Khumalo still continues to make TV and radio interview to further clear her name in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
Recently, Kelly Khumalo has a stop to have a chat with Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka on Kaya FM this morning. Kelly Khumalo speaks on how the public has taken this whole issue as entertainment rather than what it exactly should be.
“And also what I have learnt is that it is no longer a sensitive issue to people, it’s entertainment and that’s where the sad part is. It’s no longer a sensitive issue, people have lost touch with the fact that families have suffered through this, individuals have suffered through this, children have suffered through this. They have taken this and made it an entertainment thing. Everyone comes with their own story, they built it up, they believe it and they run with it for like and for clout” said Kelly Khumalo.
When asked if ever she gets emotional or even cry when she hears the name Senzo Meyiwa being mentioned, perhaps on the radio. Kelly Khumalo took a very significant sigh while still processing the question. However, she answered with no hesitation that she doesn’t get bothered when she hears the name Senzo Meyiwa being mentioned.
“Not really! I have had those moments but not anymore. I mean you learn to live with these things and you have to accept them for who they are.
About whether or not Kelly Khumalo ever dreams or think of the slain Senzo Meyiwa, she did not mince her words while she revealed that she still speak with him even to date.
“Oh I do, I get visits most of the time, yes. I get chats all the time and for me it is very comforting. I worry when someone I adored or had as a very big part in my life passes on and never visits. Even with my grandmother, for years i didn’t see her and I was like (hayibo, ugogo uphi?) and when she did visit me i was like ‘okay, we’re good now”said Kelly Khumalo

Not when just yesterday in court, it was revealed that it was Longwe Twala who brought the gun that allegedly killed Senzo Meyiwa back in 2014 at Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus. However it is also alleged that it was indeed Kelly Khumalo, who allegedly and accidentally pulled the trigger that allegedly killed Meyiwa
