Freeman electrocuted stealing electric cables in South Africa(PCTS)

A 22 year old Zimbabwean man was electrocuted to death in South Africa while cutting power cables.

Report indicate that Freeman Gomba was electrocuted when electricity switched on while he was cutting cables with a knife.

His family is trying to raise funds for his body to be raptriated to Zimbabwe.

A total of R1300 is required to repatriate his body.

Ongoing load shedding in South Africa has led to an increase in vandalism of Eskom properties as the county goes for hours without power.

Zimbabwe has also been hit with continues power cuts and so far the Ministry has not issued a Statement on the cause.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) has given update on the $1.5 billion Hwange unit 7 expansion.

In preparation for Unit 7 commissioning, ZPC is now conducting boiler prewarming – an exercise which cleans up the boiler and turbine pipeline, removing debris accumulated during the construction phase
