Speaking out after Garry Mapanzure’s death, Olinda took to her Facebook page and pledged to buy and donate 10 second-hand ambulances to the government.

“Zimbabwe govt I will buy and donate 10 second-hand ambulances from the UK and ship them. As long as you guarantee NO DUTY. I am heartbroken ?,” she wrote

Social Media Reacts

Olinda Chapel’s offer has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

While some praised her for her generous offer, some social media users highlighted the broader issues within the healthcare system that need attention. Netizens expressed concerns about the effectiveness of ambulances without adequate healthcare facilities

Here are some of the reactions;

@Stacey Fiona;

What’s the point to have ambulances yet there’s no health machines and medicine in the hospitals ?

@Faith Chihoro;

The ambulance will get people to hospitals which do not have adequate medical equipment and medications to save lives. This issue is bigger than 10 ambulances, but nice gesture.
