Murewa TV news crew is being informed by a reliable source that Ms Florence Gavajena, Deputy head of Muchinjike Primary School has filed for transfer papers amid allegations of initiating students into suspected cases of Satanism.

Parents of students who attend school at Muchinjike began a demonstration at the school demanding that a traditional cleansing be done at the school. The havoc resulted in parents refusing to send pupils to school for lessons.

According to the school headmaster, Mr Mudzamiri the first incident happened 20 November 2023 to a student who shall not be named to protect his/her identity.

The Headmaster said, “the student is said to began by gushing out huge amounts of blood, start to move like a snake, and then enter into some sort of a trance. The student will now begin to speak with a horse voice saying “I’m not alone, we are eleven at this school.

To date all the eleven suspected cases have surfaced with speculations it has spread to Muchinjike Secondary School and Dandara. This prompted parents to demand a cleansing Ceremony be performed. Although parents failed to perform the ritual on schools opening day following a letter from Ms Florence Gavajena, Deputy Head’s lawyer barring the Ceremony.

Through the authority of Mr Rabion Chenjerai Nheweyembwa who is Headman of Nheweyembwa area a ritual Ceremony was done by a traditional healer popularly known as Gogo Chihoro on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. The ritual allegedly confirmed parents’ suspicions.

Parents are up in arms chanting demonstration jingles, raising placards with messages demanding the suspected teacher to vacate premises.

Efforts to contact the Deputy Deputy Head, Ms Florence Gavajena were fruitless.

The events continue affecting learning time for students, it is imperative for a solution to come with expediency.
