Trevor Dongo, a renowned musician in Zimbabwe, has expressed disappointment over the poor turnout at the launch of his latest album, “Seasons”.
According to Dongo, the event was a flop due to a combination of factors, including bad weather and the country’s struggling economy.
Dongo lamented that the launch of his album, which was expected to be a major celebration of his music and artistic career, was marred by a low attendance. He attributed this to the cold weather, which made it difficult for people to attend the event.
“The reason why people didn’t show up was due to limited disposable income in the economy, location, many other events on the same day, our entry fee, the cold weather,” he said
Despite these challenges, Dongo remains optimistic about his music and his ability to connect with his fans.
“I know that music is a universal language that can bring people together, regardless of their economic situation. I’m committed to continuing to create music that inspires and uplifts my fans, even if it’s not always easy,” Dongo said.
Dongo’s latest album, “Seasons”, is a collection of 12 tracks that showcase his signature blend of Afro-pop and R&B styles.
