In a statement following Donald Trump’s win in the U.S. election, Vivian Wilson, the estranged transgender daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, announced her intention to leave the country, expressing that she does not see a future for herself in America.
Vivian, who has been estranged from Musk since 2022, took to Meta’s Threads platform to share her thoughts.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t envision my future in the United States,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the impact of Trump’s victory, she added, “Even if he only serves four years and anti-trans regulations don’t materialize, the people who voted for this are not going anywhere anytime soon.”
Musk responded to his daughter’s announcement on X, reiterating his previous claim that “the woke mind killed my son.”
In response, Vivian shared a screenshot of Musk’s post on Threads, criticizing his narrative. “So, you’re still pushing the sob story about how ‘woe is me, my child was infected by something-or-other’? Just don’t look into it, god forbid I’m anything but the victim in every scenario,” she remarked.
She further expressed her frustration, stating, “Did anyone actually believe this? It’s tired, overdone, and cliché. Honestly, I’m just bored. Is this really the best you could come up with?”
In a follow-up post, Vivian suggested that her father’s knowledge of her plans stems from his frustration over losing control. “You’re upset because everyone around you sees you as a delusional, controlling person who hasn’t matured in 38 years. But that’s not my problem,” she stated.
Vivian Wilson, one of six children Musk shares with his first wife, Justine Wilson, legally changed her name in 2022 and began seeking gender-affirming care. Musk has frequently blamed the “woke mind virus” for her choices, declaring her “dead” to him.
