A heartbreaking incident has left a Harare family in mourning after their six-month-old baby tragically died after falling into a bucket of hot water.
Police Confirm Devastating Incident
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident through a statement on social media.
“A tragic incident occurred in which a baby girl (6 months) died upon admission at a local hospital in Harare after falling into a 20-litre bucket filled with hot water on 15 November 2024 at a house in Kambuzuma 5, Harare,” reads part of the statement.
According to police, the bucket had been left near the couch where the baby was seated.
Family in Shock
The tragic accident has left the family in shock. Neighbours described the scene as “devastating.”
“The mother of the victim had left the bucket near a couch where the baby was sitting,” the ZRP added.
