Nehanda Radio journalist Lance Guma reports that legendary musician Thomas Mapfumo is struggling to repair his rural home, ravaged by fire, after a GoFundMe campaign raised only £85 of the £500 needed.
Notably, Mapfumo had previously declined a generous £500,000 offer from businessman Sir Wicknell, which included a house, car, and cash, citing principles.
Guma expresses disappointment that despite Mapfumo’s sacrifices, people are neglecting to support him in his time of need.
