In an unfortunate incident, a female detective from the very popular Team Lozikeyi was shot dead in pursuit of armed robbers in Bulawayo last night around 21:00.
Cassandra Hove was on shot operation with Team Lozikeyi, a detective unit from the CID which is all-female.
The unit was on operation in Pumula South where the unfortunate incident occured. A shootout with armed robbers occured resulting in Hove sustaining a gunshot wound to her upper body, resulting in her death.
Hove has been pointed to be one of the finest female detectives in the country, always brave and dedicated to duty with an aim to curb crime.
The all female unit was recently introduced in the City of Kings with a code-name Lozikeyi to handle high level criminal situations which include armed robbery in Bulawayo.
The all ladies team had one of their most breakthrough achievements in July 2024 when they arrived at the Bulawayo Magistrates Courts with two suspects they arrested for being found with ivory under aggravating circumstances.
Many people have demanded a retaliation fight on these armed robbers to make sure that they are caught and justice be delivered in the end.
Many criminal activities have been happening Bulawayo with a lot of people pointing out that they are as a result of some Zimbabweans coming back from South Africa
