MAN RAPES DAUGHTER, GIVES HER TABLETS TO AVOID PREGNANCY
The Form 2 student had been subjected to sexual abuse since April last year.
Her father would give her some pink tablets to swallow soon after raping her without protection. Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest.
“Police are investigating a rape case involving a minor and her biological father,” said Insp Chakanza.
“Circumstances are that sometime on an unknown date and time in April 2024, the complainant was home alone when the accused person came back and started accusing her of having an affair with her aunt’s husband.
“Complainant had been living with her aunt since Grade One up to Grade Seven in another area. The accused person started assaulting the complainant with his belt.
“He then forcibly lifted the complainant to his bedroom and raped her with protection.
“After the act, the accused threatened to kill the complainant if she ever disclosed the matter to anyone.
“On another unknown date, in May 2024, after the complainant had finished taking a bath, the accused person came to the bedroom, pushed her onto the bed and raped her without protection. After the act, the accused gave the complainant a pink tablet and forced her to swallow it and again threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
“During the month of November 2024 the accused again raped the accused without protection and afterwards gave her two pink tablets and forced her to swallow them.
“The following day the complainant tried to explain the matter to her mother but she did not believe her.”
He added:
“On March 16, 2025 at around 1600 hours, the complainant was coming from church with her young sister aged 9 when they found the accused person alone at home.
“The accused then sent the younger sister to go and buy some sweets and after she had left, the accused person again raped the complainant using protection.
“After the act, he tried to stop the complainant from leaving the house but she managed to escape and went to look for her mother.
“Complainant met her mother on her way home from the onion field where she had gone for some piece job and she narrated everything in tears about what had transpired.”
