Owner arrested after two men shot and killed outside his tavern
A tavern owner from Sweetwaters, Qonce in the Eastern Cape has been arrested after bullet-riddled bodies of two men were found outside his establishment.
The incident happened on Monday evening.
Eastern Police spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana said an investigation into the motive for the shooting was under way.
Police have arrested a man believed to be the owner of the tavern.
During the arrest, police also confiscated tik and mandrax from his home.
The 43-year-old man is expected to appear in the Qonce Magistrate’s Court on charges relating to possession of drugs once charged
