The body of an unidentified man was found under a bridge along Makwa Road in Hwange. The deceased had multiple head injuries and was rushed to a local hospital in Hwange but later died. The incident occurred on May 24, 2023.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the murder case on their official Twitter account on May 26, 2023. They appealed to the public for information that could help in investigating the matter.
The police tweet read, “Police in Hwange are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder in which a yet-to-be-identified man died whilst on admission at a local hospital in Hwange after being found, with multiple head injuries, under the bridge at a railway crossing point, along Makwa Road on 24/05/23. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.”
The police are still investigating the murder case and are looking for clues that could help identify the deceased man and catch his killer. Anyone with information is requested to report to the nearest police station
