Amidst the excitement, even artist Jah Prayzah had to be forced to stop his performance to allow other activities to take place.
In a viral video circulating on social media, during President Mnangagwa’s inauguration, the MC repeatedly requested the artist to halt their performance.
Some social media users were reminded of the incident in 2017 when the late Zimdancehall artist Soul Jah Love was publicly humiliated during a rally in Mutare.

Soul Jah Love Embarrassed At A Zanu PF Rally
Sometime in 2017, the late Zimdancehall chanter Soul Jah Love was dressed down in Mutare at a Zanu PF rally addressed by the late President Robert Mugabe.
Zanu PF youth leader Innocent Hamandishe publicly dressed him down in front of thousands of party supporters.
Despite being set to perform at the rally alongside other artists like Freeman and Seh Calaz, Soul Jah Love was left embarrassed by the incident.
In a video that went viral at the time, Hamandishe could be heard saying,
“Apoo hei hei, ndo-indiscipline iyoyo . . . Soul Jah Love hachisi chinhu . . . mukadaro haaridzi pano,” Hamandishe, who is the Zanu PF youth league national commissar, told the party supporters, as Soul Jah Love’s fans could not wait to see him perform.
“Makuda kutiudzira kuti Soul Jah Love zvine basa rei, cutter-yi zvamuri kuita kumberi uko . . . iwe Soul Jah Love ita discipline dzokera ugare kumashure uko . . . chii chaunoda kuti itira ipapapo . . . wakufarisa,” he further said.
Following the incident, Soul Jah Love released a song hitting back at the ruling party, saying it was him who had lured the multitude of people, mostly youths who thronged Sakubva Stadium on the day.
