President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s inauguration and swearing-in ceremony at the National Sports Stadium on Monday was a grand affair filled with pomp and fanfare.

After being declared the winner of the elections on August 23rd by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), President Mnangagwa stood before a massive crowd of supporters on Monday to take the oath of office. The event was not only graced by prominent figures but also attended by people from all walks of life across Zimbabwe.

One unforgettable moment from the ceremony involved an unidentified woman who fainted outside the stadium. Quick-thinking members of the Zimbabwe Red Cross rushed to her aid. However, their attempt to enter the stadium through VIP gate number 24 was met with resistance from security personnel who refused to unlock it.

Undeterred, the Red Cross team lifted the stretcher, carrying the woman, and managed to navigate it over the gate. Regrettably, she briefly fell from the stretcher during this process. The Red Cross personnel promptly returned her to the stretcher and successfully transported her over the gate, ensuring her safety.

As of the time of writing, the woman’s condition remains unknown.
