In what many have dubbed “A crime of Passion” a Bulawayo man named Mandla was involved in an accident and died on the spot last night and this came after he had killed his girlfriend.
It is possible that he could’ve been on the run after realizing that his girlfriend had died at his hands. Circumstances are that the two came from South Africa last night and got into a fight which was sparked by undisclosed reasons upon getting here in Bulawayo, it is then that Mandla is said to have violently pushed his girlfriend (name withheld) and she hit her head onto something then passed away, upon realizing this, Mandla got into his Mercedes benz and sped off using Gwanda Road, possibly fleeing back to South Africa.
Upon reaching Kensington the Mercedes was involved in a head on collision with Mandla’s car and the engine of the car is said to have flown over 50 meters away from the scene as a show of Mandla’s over-speeding. Fortunately those who were on the bus suffered no injuries, only Mandla died.
